Erratic Press was established in 2014 to publish e-books that are by Southwestern Ontario residents or by those who write about the region. The imprint publishes and sells Morel South and West, an e-journal of writing featured on Morelmag.ca, along with other anthologies based on contributions to Morel.

About the publisher and editor of Erratic Press:
Mary Baxter is a freelance journalist and editor in London, Ontario who specializes in agriculture, the environment, rural issues, culture and history. She is the editor of Morelmag.ca, an online general interest magazine serving southwestern Ontario. From 2007 to 2016, she was field editor of Better Farming magazine, Ontario’s largest circulating agriculture magazine.
Her work has appeared in Reader’s Digest, More, Building, Winnipeg Free Press, Owen Sound Sun Times, Chatham Daily News, Current Affairs (TV Ontario’s website), Western Producer, Farm Futures, Daily Commercial News and Cottage Life. In 1994, she co-edited and contributed to Art, the Art Community and the Law published by Self-Counsel Press.
Mary has earned more than 25 journalism awards and honourable mentions, including the 2007 Canadian Association of Journalists’ magazine category investigative reporting (as a member of a team), the 2012 International Federation of Agricultural Journalists’ Star Print Journalism award and five gold Canadian Farm Writers Federation awards. She holds a Masters of Philosphy in Anglo-Irish literature from Trinity College, University of Dublin.
